A mysterious young lady is anticipating him on a warfare parcel. Ethan urgently needs to be along with her, however there's associate unknown danger—and every time a lightning bolt cracks sort of a shot, killing Ethan before he ever reaches the lady.
The danger of this strange dream world, however, is preferred to Ethan's waking existence in Gatlin, South geographical region, a small, conservative Southern city that hasn't wedged to the twenty first century, wherever nothing ever changes and zilch ever happens. Cornered reception with a father World Health Organization has fully withdrawn since the extra time of Ethan's mother, Ethan yearns for a life he will solely examine in books.
But Ethan's mundane world is surprised with the arrival of river Duchannes (Alice Englert), the attractive and enigmatic kinswoman of Macon Ravenwood (Jeremy Irons), the reclusive owner of gothic Ravenswood Manor. Ethan finds himself in real time drawn to river, despite the fact that destruction appears to inexplicably follow her and it becomes apparent that she may be a Caster, with powers on the far side her management. The town, junction rectifier by conservative Mrs. Lincoln (Emma Thompson), needs her banished. Even Gatlin's wise professional, Amma (Viola Davis), is afraid history might repeat itself—a history of family secrets and a curse that looms for river as she approaches her sixteenth birthday. It’s that point once a Caster is chosen by the forces of either the sunshine or the Dark.
But Lena's fate might already be sealed by the curse that attracts each her and Ethan into a tangled internet of spells and peril from that there is also no escape.
